Debian 8 has StrongSWAN in the distribution archives. StrongSWAN isn't big on opportunistic encryption, though. LibreSWAN builds just fine (Debian packaging included) on Debian 8. We'll start with StrongSWAN for now, though.

We have enough machines that setting up a public key infrastructure makes sense. Information on that will be collected at SNOWMAN PKI.
