most hardware components (drives, controllers, fan modules, power supplies) are hot swappable. The internal backplane is not.
Final release firmware is installed (03.9F) on the interface modules (EMMs)
The interface modules (EMMs) do have Ethernet connections. They are configured for DHCP. Using them is strictly optional. No Ethernet is required to put this to use.
208/220/240 Volt power is required. Normal US household 110/120 Volt power will not do the job.
Physically larger than most servers. This will require extra depth in your rack. 32.5 inches deep
This is a JBOD (just a bunch of disks) device. A server connected to it will see 60 individual storage drives (if installed) and the enclosure itself. There is no hardware RAID.
