Dell PowerVault MD3060e -- three available
- 4U tall 60 disk SAS 2 (6Gbps x 4 lanes) attached JBOD enclosure
- Accepts 60 2.5 inch ("small form factor") SSDs or spinning hard drives. 60 disk trays included
- Accepts SATA and SAS storage drives
- dual power supply
- dual fan modules
- dual controller (host interface)
- rackmount rails included
- appropriate SAS signal cables included
- faceplate/bezel (purely cosmetic) included
- most hardware components (drives, controllers, fan modules, power supplies) are hot swappable. The internal backplane is not.
- Final release firmware is installed (03.9F) on the interface modules (EMMs)
- The interface modules (EMMs) do have Ethernet connections. They are configured for DHCP. Using them is strictly optional. No Ethernet is required to put this to use.
- 208/220/240 Volt power is required. Normal US household 110/120 Volt power will not do the job.
- Physically larger than most servers. This will require extra depth in your rack. 32.5 inches deep
